Büren, 10 October 2019 - CP Tech GmbH, part of the Dutch Nedschroef Group, is continuing its successful commitment to motor sports this year: the company's own "SetupWizzard Racing Team" has been competing in the VLN Endurance Championship at the legendary Nürburgring since April 2019. CP started in the SP 6 class with a custom-made Porsche 991 GT3 CUP with unique wide body, which led the team, which is now leading in the class championship, to victory for the third time in a row.
Dr. Mathias Hüttenrauch is one of the drivers of the SetupWizzard Racing Team and is proud of his present performance: "The changeable weather condition in qualifying and race were quite a challenge, especially during the last VLN dates. We are all the more proud of the winning streak we were able to achieve with this great team setup".
In the VLN, more than 150 vehicles start per race. Dr. Mathias Hüttenrauch, Dr. Michael Czyborra, Hannes Plesse and Patrick Huismann took to the wheel for the SetupWizzard Team from Büren in the last three races. The cockpit line-up also mirrored the German-Dutch company combination of CP Tech and Koninklijke Nedschroef Holding B.V. In the 7th VLN race the team shared the pit with none other than Martin Brundle (Aston Martin), who gave full throttle in Formula 1 from 1984 to 1996.
The CP product 'SetupWizzard' gives its name to the team and can also now be found in pit lanes all over the world. SetupWizzard is a mobile chassis measurement system that enables even last-minute changes to the setup directly at the race track through fast and precise laser measurement and easy handling. The system was developed, manufactured and launched on the market completely in-house by CP Tech and is based on years of motorsport experience. It is now successfully used by numerous teams in motorsport series such as Formula E, WEC, DTM and WRC. (for more information go to: www.setupwizzard.com)
By the way, it’s not just the drivers who are waiting for the start flag to drop: "All CP trainees are involved in the preparation and running of events at the race track. As part of the pit crew, they take care of maintenance and pit stops, under the watchful eyes of experienced CP colleagues," says CP Managing Director Thomas Casey with a smile. "This is pure and hands-on motorsport passion - for everyone!"
